Would it trouble you to know that your pastor agrees with Nietzsche? It probably should. But it’s not what you think! Nietzsche famously said:
“God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murders of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us?”
I agree with SOME of what Nietzsche said, but not all of it! How about you?
This Sunday we’re going to look at Luke’s account of the crucifixion from Chapter 23. My working title is “Killing God.” I hope you’ll join us Sunday at 9:30 for English or 11 for Chinese and find out how I agree and disagree with Nietzsche!
In our Friday night discussion groups, we’ll continue discussing the gospel and how to share it. This week I’ll be introducing a tool to help us all more effectively share good news with our friends and family members. I hope you can join us at 7 for food and fellowship!
I also hope to see you tonight at 7 or Sunday morning at 9 for one of our weekly prayer gatherings too. We have much to pray about together as a church body!
Have a great week, and “TCBC, TCBC!”
